À propos de l'événement
Attendees will learn how this approach prioritizes meaningful, functional repertoires taught through naturally occurring events rather than arbitrary lesson plans or isolated skill drills. The presenters will demonstrate how to identify “events” as teaching opportunities, arrange contingencies that promote generalization, and embed instruction seamlessly into daily activities. Through a blend of didactic training, brief video clips, and hands-on practices, they’ll illustrate how Event-Based Teaching aligns with the pragmatic philosophy of Essential for Living and teaching what matters, where it matters, and when it matters.

• Identifying Events as Learning Opportunities – Recognizing environmental events that naturally evoke learner engagement or communication.
• Instructional Design within Events – How to engineer motivating operations, SDs, and reinforcement within naturally occurring routines.
